5 Airplanes Crash in a Week: A Week of Tragedy

The globe is in sorrow after a week of catastrophic air tragedies that were unprecedented. These tragedies remind the world of the dangers of modern air travel. They have affected both tiny private planes and commercial airlines.
1. Azerbaijan Airlines Flight 28243:
The most heartbreaking incident is the one of Azerbaijan Airlines Flight 28243. This Embraer ERJ-190AR, traveling from Baku, crashed mysteriously, with the reports claiming it was shot down. In this disaster, 38 people were killed.
2. Jeju Air Flight 2216:
A deadly Boeing 737-800 made a terrible crash landing on Jeju Air flight 2216 due to a major malfunction; the primary cause is thought to have been a bird-strike incident that occurred during landing close to South Korea Airport. The incident, which claimed 179 lives, is among the bloodiest aircraft mishaps in recent memory. The aviation community is currently in mourning as the plane's emergency systems failed to prevent the catastrophic accident, despite initial hopes of a safe landing. Aviation specialists are raising doubts about the role of a concrete structure at the end of the runway where the plane collided and exploded at South Korea's Muan International.
3. KLM Flight 1204:
KLM's Boeing 737-800 suffered a horrible crash after taking off from Oslo Airport. A hydraulic failure caused the plane to skid along the runway. This resulted in a chaotic situation that could have been disastrous. The crew and ground staff acted readily to ensure that everyone on board survived. Thankfully, no one was killed. But even in well-maintained aircraft, mechanical failure is a constant concern, and this near-miss emphasizes how crucial crew readiness is in an emergency.
4. Air Canada Flight 2259:
Flight 2259, a Dash 8-400 owned by Air Canada, is another noticeable event. The landing gear collapsed. The airplane made an emergency landing at Halifax Airport. The crew landed the plane successfully. The fire started during the emergency landing, and the crew evacuated the passengers, avoiding casualties. No one was killed in this incident.
5. Light Aircraft Crash in the UAE:
The light aircraft of the Jazirah Aviation Club crashed in the sea off Ras Al Khaimah, United Arab Emirates. Frianza Parveen, a 26-year-old Pakistani pilot, passed away in the disaster, as did her partner, Indian doctor Sulaymaan Al Majid. The cause of the tragedy is still unidentified.
A dark perspective on aviation safety:
In just one week, five accidents, which represent the inherent risk in aviation irrespective of the advances in technology and the skill levels of the crews, remind all of us who fly that despite modern air travel being one of the safest means of transportation, no system is perfect and that the lives of those impacted by these tragic events will be forever changed.
All these incidents are merely a mistake or a coincidence?
Can I say it's a Black December?
