In a series of Israeli air and ground assaults across Gaza ,more than 50 indiviuals lost their lives ,including children and a cameraman. The Israeli military's operations were focused on targets associated with Hamas and the allied Palestinian Islamic Jihad group. According to the health ministry run by Hamas ,the 14-month conflict has resulted in over 45,000 Palestinian fatalities, many of whom are civilians. However,the Israeli government dispute these statistics,asserting that nearly 20,000 of thise killed were ''terrorists.''
The conflict ignited in October 2023 with a significant Hamas-led attack on southern Israel.Among the casualities were numerous indiviuals seeking refuge in UN-runschools,which had been converted into shelters for displaced families.The Israeli Defence Forces have accused Hamas of using these civilians infrastructures as human shields.The UN has noted an increase in displacements following the continuous Israeli raids.This conflict has led to a significant humanitarian crisis, with both sides presenting conflicting accounts of casualities and the conditions on the ground.
