Saudi Arabia will host 2034 World Cup
FIFA has confirmed Saudi Arabia will host the 2034 World Cup after the Extraordinary FIFA Congress vote. Morocco, Portugal and Spain will host the 2030 World Cup with Paraguay, Argentina and Uruguay hosting 3 matches to celebrate the 100th edition of the tournament. Saudi Arabia’s growing football presence with investments in their domestic league and signing of international stars like Cristiano Ronaldo means they can now show off their football skills to the world. The 2034 bidding process started in October 2023 and although Norway didn’t approve the bid Saudi Arabia got the nod to host it.

Football in Saudi Arabia and the Middle East will explode with the 2034 World Cup. Saudi Arabia will get to show the world its growing football skills at the World Cup as the country has already invested in its domestic league and signed international players.
World-famous footballer Cristiano Ronaldo (the greatest of all time) was signed by Al Nassr in January 2023, a move that has been hailed as a boost for Saudi football. Since joining Al Nassr, Cristiano Ronaldo has scored 79 goals in 88 games and has become the highest-paid athlete in the world.
Paraguay, Argentina, and Uruguay will host three matches in the 2030 tournament to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the hosts of both World Cups. This was decided after a vote at the Extraordinary Fifa Congress meeting on Wednesday.
The video conference had representatives from all 211 of Fifa’s member countries. The first chose Paraguay, Uruguay, and Argentina to host the centennial. The 2034 tournament was given to Saudi Arabia. The second voted for the three 2030 hosts.
The 2034 World Cup bidding process started on October 4, 2023, and followed the same specifications as the 2030 World Cup.
Norway did not approve Saudi Arabia’s bid to host the 2034 tournament because of the bidding process, not Saudi Arabia.
